All About The Fanatic Fans

Selangor Football Club or famously known as The Red Giants have the most authentic and fanatic fans in Malaysia. In every match, flags that were designed by the fans will be flying up to show their support for their beloved club. There are also several songs that can increase the spirit of players which will be singing by the fans in every match. Also not to mention, the instruments playing during the match also can scared the opponents faces by the Red Giants. There are a few of several groups of Selangor fans who are famously known by their highly-support which are Bukit Kapar United, Selangor The Red Giants Army, and Selangor Soccer Fans Club. Fans of Selangor Football Club always have the highest-gate attendance on match which is around 50,000 and more on a single match.

The Stadium of Selangor F.C

Every great club have their own great stadium. The same goes to Selangor Football Club where they have their own stadium and turf that known as Stadium Shah Alam. The stadium is located at the centre of Shah Alam, Selangor. This great stadium of Selangor Football Club have the enormous amount of seats for its supporters which estimated around 80,000 seats. It also provides the facilities for varities of other sports like gymnasium, running track, and go-kart racing circuit. The Shah Alam Stadium, which consists of huge six level semi-enclosed spaces, is the largest stadium in Selangor state. It was the biggest stadium in Malaysia before the completion of the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil. The frame structure is the longest free-standing arc in the world. Constructed with the latest technology, it is now a poplar venue for world class sport events. The stadium was designed by a well-known Malaysian Architect, Hijjaz Kasturi. The stadium has around 5,500 car bays in parking lots surrounding the stadium. The stadium has become the major landmark in Shah Alam due to its scale and magnificent architecture. The one responsible for maintaining in the stadium's cleanliness and other stuffs is Majlis Bandraya Shah Alam which is also the legal owner of the place. The construction of the stadium began in 1 January 1990 and the stadium was officially open to the public on 16 July 1994. The first ever goal at the stadium was scored by Billy McKinlay. Many great European and powerful club in the world have the experience to be part of the game in the stadium like Bayern Munich Football Club, Leeds United Football Club, Olyroos Football Club, Flamengo Football Club, Chelsea Football Club, and Arsenal Football Club.

The Players of Selangor Football Club



Selangor Football Club is known as the club where the 'stars' are born and made. Most of its players managed to be recognized by the fans around Malaysia. Many footballers have a dream to play as part of the Red Giants team but only a few of them managed to booked their place. 24 players have been registered into the team for the 2011-12 season. Starting from the position of Goalkeeper, they have their first choice player and follow-up by the second and third choice player. Mohd Fairul Azwan Shahrullai is the first choice goalkeeper of Selangor Football Club and follow by Norazlan Norazli and Jeevananthan a/l Gunasekaran.

For the defender position, Mohd Hasmarul Fadzir Hassan, Mohd Razman Rozlan, Mohd Asraruddin Putra Omar, Ramez Jamal Dayoub, Mohd Nasriq Baharom and Gunathan a/l Panathan have been given the trust by the manager to take their position of Defender.

Then, the position of midfielder have been filled up by Adib Aizuddin Ab Latif, Safiq Rahim, Solihin Kanasian, Mohd Bunyamin Umar, Gurusamy Govandar a/l Kandasamy, Khairil Anuar Khalid, Azidan Sarudin, Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal, Mohd Fitri Shazwan Raduwan and Mohd Fazilidin Khalid.

After that, the list of strikers are Bosko Balaban, Famirul Asraf Sayuti, Mohd Amri Yahyah, Wan Mohd Hoesne Wan Hussain, and Surendren a/l Rasiah. All of these players have showed their talents and capabilities to help the team in this season matches and competitions.

Players like Bambang Pamukas, Ellie Aiboy, Brian Fuentes and many more managed to bring the name of Selangor Football Club into the international club level. The Achievements Gained By The Red Giants

Selangor Football Club have gained many achievements since its first establishment. 1980s was the unforgettable and historic year for the club when they won the Malaysian Super League for the first time. The success just continue to grow bigger when they won the league for seven times which makes the Red Giants the most famous and strongest club in Malaysia. Selangor Football Club also is the only club in Malaysia managed to created their own history to be the Runners-up in Asian Football Confederation Champions League (AFC Champions League) which is the toughest competition in Asia where 32 teams around Asia fight for their victory and whoever managed to became the champions can booked their spot in FIFA Club World Cup.

  But, their major success came from Malaysia Cup where they have won it for 32 times and not to mention 15 times Runners-up for the cup. The Red Giants continue their success by winning the Malaysia FA Cup for five times and also the winner of Malaysia Charity Shield for eight times. Their experiences is far too great compared to the other teams and clubs of Malaysian Super League. The only secret of success is "always shows the great and energetic game of play"; and always produce the great player for Malaysia itself.

The History of Selangor FC

Founded in 22 February 1936. For most of the 20th century, Singapore was Selangor's fierce rival since 1921 before they withdrew from Malaysian competitions after 1994 campaign. As part of reviving their traditional rivalry, both teams square off in Sultan of Selangor Cup tournament which is held annually since its introduction in 2002.

With a record of 32 Malaysia Cups, 5 Division, 1 Premier, 1 Super League titles, 2 Division, 2 Premier 2/Premier League titles, 5 FA Cups and 8 Charity Cups, Selangor is the most successful team in Malaysian football. The team has won the treble twice in 2005 and 2009. The first treble consists of Premier League, Malaysia Cup and FA Cup, while the second consists of Super League, FA Cup and Charity Cup. In 2010, they retained the Super League title and Charity Cup.
